Just a Few More Shows
The Flatlanders are in Milwaukee with a welcome day off. I enjoy the bus a lot, but in appropriate moderation. Tomorrow we will be revitalized for the last three shows of the first leg of the tour:

Flatlanders with good start in New York!
We did the first show of the Flatlanders’ Spring 2009 tour in Ithaca last night. The State is a beautiful old theater and the management, staff and crew were superb in all respects, making it a very enjoyable evening for us. If the first night went so well I believe we can expect a whole tour of excellent shows, and I hope you will be there for as many of them as possible. Our new CD, “Hills and Valleys,” is out and we are very happy with it. I plan to use this blog to talk about other subjects, but right now the exciting news is the Flatlanders re-reuniting. Tonight we will be at The Egg in Albany, and we hope to see some of you there. All of you, in fact!
Rolling out my new blog
This is an experiment to see if I can present interesting observations in a coherent and comprehensible form. The Flatlanders are preparing for our spring 2009 tour and I will comment periodically. On March 31st we will debut the new CD, Hills and Valleys, with radio performances on KUT and KGSR. At 5PM we play at Waterloo Records and then board the bus for the East Coast. The first show is at the State Theatre in Ithaca, NY, on Friday, April 3rd. I hope all of you will be there, and at all the following shows as well.
